Swoon Quilt Wall Hanging

So I am planning a swoon wall hanging for my dark taupe colored wall. Eventually it will be between some barn wood open shelves and other gallery wall items, but this little guy will take some time to plan and create. 

I can't decide between adding the red into the palette or not. I have almost zero red in my apt, except for the wheels on my factory cart. Thoughts?
