Lavender Lilac Gin Cocktail

Summerfield Delight | Flirting with Spring Gin Cocktail

I have been waiting to mix up this cocktail for a long time, but since it was technically within an hour of it turning into spring when this photoshoot was done {530pm on the 20th of March}, I decided it was time.

This was a whole foods test taste that ended in a purchase, the Blossom Waters new to our Whole Foods are light, floral and delicious. Sweetened with a little bit of agave syrup, they are a light and refreshing beverage. I knew the second that I tasted the grapefruit lilac flavor that it would pair really nicely with a floral gin.

I bought the bang-candy lavender mint simple syrup when I found these lovely coupes (so exciting) at the local kitchen supply boutique shop. I have been dreaming of this for months.

Naming this little guy wasn't easy, since there are a lot of light and floral flavors, between the sweet fresh grapefruit and the floral notes it wasn't a clear name. Then I realized that I was making this moments before spring arrived, during a snowstorm. Yes, a snowstorm on March 20th. I was Flirting with Spring, saying "come hither" ... NOW.

Happy Almost Friday :)
