Gardens to Visit This Summer in Southern New England

Gardens to Visit in New England

Hopefully you’ve stumbled up on this post, with the hope of finding a new garden or location with gardens to visit this summer. So we’ve put together a big list of places that are open for visitors paid and unpaid to visit this summer. I am planning to visit as many as possible.

Southern New England generally represents Connecticut, Rhode Island and Mass or parts of Mass south or nearby Boston. So we will be focusing on those areas. For enjoy the list and let us know if you have traveled to any of these or have one to add to our list for this upcoming summer 2019.

Note: I am not including “open garden days” on this because they are such specific dates and times, and often require advanced registration. However, they should not be missed! The Garden Conservancy Website has lots of Open Garden days on their event lists, mostly situated throughout the Northeast (NY, CT, RI and MA) as well as Northern California and some in Washington State. If you live in one of those areas, do be sure to check them out ahead of time to register. A few of the gardens below also have open dates, but most of these have the ability to visit or schedule a visit without it being a special date.
